i am using this for the first time unfortunetly when i try to add developers account and the try test connection it's fail all the time and also give some connetion error.

Pl. give some idea about any other credentials that i should change in the blob storage to work fine with developers account.

Hi Andy,

Could you add a future option to sync the local file backup to S3?

Our use case is to support users that do not have fat internet pipes in remote regions via a local disk backup and then from our office sync their local backup to S3.

Once this is done, deltas can be backed up to S3 from the (slow) client premises directly.

Hi Chris,

sorry, this use case is not implemented. we don't want to take the responsibility for someone accidentally to delete the files and they fail to copy to the cloud storage. You can probably use CloudBerry Explorer freeware to move the files instead of copying at your own risk. you can even schedule the move.

Thanks for listing all tools available on single page. For your Information, SDBExplorer uses Multithreaded BatchPutAttributes to achieve high write throughput while uploading bulk data to Amazon SimpleDB. SDB Explorer allows multiple parallel uploads. If you have the bandwidth, you can take full advantage of that bandwidth by running number of BatchPutAttributes processes at once in parallel queue that will reduce the time spend in processing.

It is unlikely we will add writable drive to the backup product as manual write might affect backup sequence and as we found out those interested in the virtual drive are not really interested in a regular scheduled backup. I can see how this would work for image files, but do your foresee any issues that would inadvertently cause PDF files from loading properly ins visitor's browser? Is the beat solution then, for PDF's, to just put them in a different bucket without a policy?
