Introducing CloudBerry Backup for Google Storage



CloudBerry S3 Backup is a powerful Windows program that automate backup and restore processes to Amazon S3 and a few other leading cloud storage. With the release 2.2 we are introducing backup to Google Storage for Developer.

The integration work as seamless as it could. You just choose the account of your favorite Cloud Storage provider on the backup plan wizard.

If you don’t have an account registers yet you should register it as shown on the screen below. If you are an existing CloudBerry Explorer for Google customer you will be able to import your existing accounts.

The rest works just as if you were using another cloud storage provider.

How to find Google Storage keys

To get the Access and Secret keys go to Google Storage for Developers website and click Activate Google Storage button. it is kind of weird that you have to click it every time even though you have activated Google Storage before

Scroll down to Google APIs Console at the left side navigation and click on it. this will get you to the APIs console. Now click Legacy Access and you will see the keys in the list. Just copy Access and Secret keys to the form above. See the screen below.

You need to update this tutorial.

To enable Google Cloud Storage you need to:
Go to Google APIs
Click Google Cloud Storage
Interopable Access click button: "make this my default project..."
Click on Interoperable Access under the G Cloud Storage menu in left bar.
