CloudBerry S3 Explorer PRO is a feature rich Windows client for Amazon S3. However CloudBerry Lab is striving to make the product better and better. With release 1.6 we added so more exciting capabilities that will improve the productivity. In this particular post we will talk about multithreaded data transfer in details.
Why should I care about multithreaded transfer?
CloudBerry Explorer PRO now features multithreaded data transfer. Why should you care about it? Well, with multithreaded data transfer you don’t have to wait for the first file to finish before you can start the next one in the queue. Now you can upload multiple files in parallel. Besides, it helps you utilize your network bandwidth more efficiently and as a result your files uploaded or downloaded faster.

Other copy enhancements
There are a few more improvements when it comes to copying files. First, should the file fail to copy for some reason, you can now try to copy it again using Retry command from context menu. As you can see you can also stop individual files from copying using Cancel command.

What’s more you can try to copy all failed tasks again using Restart Failed Tasks button.
Another nice feature is that the copy queue can now survive program restarts. Let’s say you need to reboot your computer. You can safely close CloudBerry Explorer and shut down your system even though your copy process is not completed yet. When you open CloudBerry Explorer again you can start exactly where you left off.
Update
Conclusion
We hope with multithreaded data transfer and other copy queue enhancements CloudBerry Explorer will become the most compelling Amazon S3 client for Windows platform and you will prefer it over other S3 clients.
